In this unit, you will learn about the Cell Theory, the major structures and functions of cells and their organelles, how cells replicate, and the processes of Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration.
Learning Objectives:
- Students will understand that cells are the basic structural and functional unit of all living things, that all living things are made of cells, that cells come from preexisting cells, and the relationship between cell structures and cell functions.
Students Will:
- Know that cells are organized into tissue, tissue is organized into organs, and organs into organ systems.
- Know that organ systems are made up of individual organs that work together to maintain homeostasis within the body.
- Know the functions of key organ systems.
- Know the major organs of each organ system.
- Know the functions of the major organs in each organ system
