Students will complete a simple personal tax return form for Federal Taxes using form 1040-EZ.
Students will:
- Complete the form W-4 to estimate withholding’s.
- Complete a tax return using form 1040-EZ and W-2.
Ideas for Teaching
- Show how much money they can make as a tax preparer each year.
- Use the W2’s in their project to complete the project and as practice filling out tax forms.
- Having them fill out a 1040-EZ for each W-2, filing their taxes as Single Head of Household, Single Living at Home, and Married Head of Household.
